Vuarnet VL 1050 Uni Aviator Sunglasses Col. Silver with Green Grey PX3000 Lenses
The Vuarnet brand was developed from the invention of the Skilynx lens in 1957 by French opticians Roger Pouilloux and Joseph Hatchiguian. The sunglasses were originally marketed under the name Skilynx Acier and were provided to the French Ski Team. In 1961, after winning the gold medal in Downhill at the 1960 Winter Olympics, Alpine Ski Racer Jean Vuarnet delighted with the functionality of Pouilloux and Hatchiguian’s glasses, decided to become more involved with the brand. Vuarnet has been setting the standard in sunglass excellence ever since.

LENSES: PX3000 MINERAL LENSES
Grey-based, category-3 mineral lens with anti-glare coating (inner side of the lens for enhanced visual comfort). These lenses provide perfect optical quality (no optical alteration) and a lot of transparence. They are also very resistant to shocks, abrasion and heat. Grey tint renders colors to perfection. This is the neutral color by excellence. This is the color used by photographers. The grey base is ideal for the city environment: it does not alter the color of lit-up road signs such as traffic lights for example.
The PX3000 benefits from chemical tempering in order to make it secure. Besides the excellent adherence of surface treatments, it benefits from an outstanding longevity.
Each lens is engraved with the letter V, the Vuarnet symbol of authenticity.
